Jason and Heidi were such a pleasure to work with on their engagement shoot. Their first date was in Boston's North End which a great backdrop for the E-session and it's also a favorite place of mine as well. Heidi has a great laugh and big smile. AJ and Brooke are getting married next month down in Cape Cod. We were finally able to get together for their engagement shoot this past weekend. We met in the Boston Public Garden and shot a bit in Beacon Hill as well. They make a great couple and were very relaxed and easygoing. While photographing a recent Boston wedding, we were at Rowes Warf near the Boston Harbor Hotel shooting some formals when another bride along with her photographer and videographer showed up. It was the day of "uneventful" hurricane Earl so everyone was carrying umbrellas. That's when the bride wars began. We had lots of fun. Darren Pellegrino Photography Wedding: Evan & Stephanie

Great wedding, funny story. Evan and Stephanie got married on Friday and looked beautiful together. Everything went off without a hitch except for one "minor" detail. Months and months ago when I met with them to discuss the details of the big day, we decided on doing outdoor pics at a great location other than where the ceremony or reception were to be held. We kicked around a few ideas following our meeting and eventually decided on what I thought was The Stevens Estate in North Andover. A great choice! So, the day before the wedding I did my customary scout out to check out the lighting and map out a plan. I was ready! The wedding day arrived and following the ceremony a four car caravan headed off. Three cars arrived at The Stevens Estate with the fourth no where to be found. The Bride and Groom where at another location called Stevens Coolidge Place. Yep, signals crossed. Well, it wouldn't be a true wedding day without some improvasation. Once we figured out what happened, the other three cars were off to the new location and we were without a plan. As it turned out, the Stevens Coolidge Place was beautiful and so were Evan and Stephanie. Here are a few shots from the day. Enjoy!

Robbie and Danielle were awesome and such a pleasure to work with. You may remember their cool engagement shoot from this past Spring at Fenway Park. They are a great, fun couple and their wedding was a blast. The venue was the Boston Renaissance Waterfront Hotel. That's a mouthful, I know, but the hotel was outstanding and did a fantastic job. Darren Pellegrino Photography Wedding: Mike & Ann

It was Friday September 3, 2010 and everyone was worried about Hurricane Earl hitting the New England area. Everyone except for Mike and Ann who got married at the Hilton Boston Financial District. They were calm and cool and had no worries on the their wedding day. It basically turned out to be a nothing storm. We dodged a bit of rain but nothing major. We had the opportunity to shoot at Rowes Warf and walk through the newly designed Greenway in Boston. It was a great time and we ended up at The Black Rose for the reception. Darren Pellegrino Photography Wedding: John & Britt

John & Britt rock!. They picked an awesome spot on the ocean on a beautiful day. It was Odiorne State Park near Portsmouth, New Hampshire at the Seacoast Science Center. They day turned out perfect although with a little bit of harsh light because of the midday sun. We found some gorgeous light at sunset as you'll see below. Anyway, John and Britt make a great couple and planned a stunning wedding from the dresses to the shoes to all of the details at the reception. Britt's got style! The wedding party was lots of fun too and everyone had a great time. A quick shout out to Ashley Stokes as well. She is the event coordinator at the Seacoast Science Center and did an amazing classy job. Here is the storyboard from the day.

Well, it was another one of those dreary forecast days for a wedding but in the end it turned out beautiful. Thanks to the incompetent weather men here in the Boston area. Scott and Lauren were so cute together. Lauren was a beautiful bride. You could tell it was just two best friends getting married. Congrats to them! The venue was Stowe Acres Country Club. Darren Pellegrino Photography Engagement: Juliano & Mellissa

Summer has arrived here in New England in full force. I was on my way to Juliano and Mellissa's engagement shoot in Charlestown at the Bunker Hill Monument Park. It was two hours before sunset and it looked like night time because of the dark clouds hovering over Boston. Then the rain came rolling in. Oddly enough as I pulled in front of the park it stopped and began to clear. It turned out to be one of the most beautiful evenings we've had this season not to mentioned working with a great couple who were so happy together.
